BIO

Polina Vee has been working with textiles for 15 years and holds a BFA in Textile Design. For six years, she worked as a leading artist in one of Russia’s top textile design studios. Although born and brought up in Russia, she has always had a desire to experience living in a diverse environment.

 

In 2019, Polina moved to the United States. Her immigration journey has been profound and transformative, leading her to redefine herself as a visual artist. Embracing an interdisciplinary approach, she works across textiles, embroidery, sculpture, and installation.

 

To date, Polina has presented five solo exhibitions in North Carolina, including shows at Frank Gallery, Peel Gallery, and the Horace Williams House. Her textile sculpture The Well received Best in Show at the 43rd Annual National Juried Art Show (2022) and Third Place at the National Multi-Media Juried Art Show (2023).

 

In 2024, she joined Artspace in Raleigh as a participating artist and completed three artist residencies across Pennsylvania, Virginia, and North Carolina.

 

Polina actively participates in numerous group exhibitions throughout the United States, including in New York, North Carolina, Louisiana, and Texas. She aspires to contribute her unique perspective to the fusion of American culture, uniting her heritage and new experiences through art.
